The second leg of the Janani Project, which attempts to increase the digital literary of grassroots female political activists, commenced on Sunday (26) at Badulla.

The workshop, which was held at Riverside Hotel Inn, Badulla saw the participation of a large number of grassroots female political activists as well as civil society activists.

The guest speakers for the event was IRES Executive Director, Manjula Gajanayake and Hi TV editor senior journalist, Harindra Nissanka.

CaFFE Executive Director, Manas Makeen presided over the workshop, which was organized by CaFFE Badulla District Coordinator Mr. V. Sudhaharan and Ms. Kalawarshi Kanagaraththnam well known Journalist.

A press conference was held following the workshop, which allowed participants to face questions posed by journalists.
