A workshop of the Janani Project, carried out by the Campaign for Free and Fair Elections (CaFFE) to enhance the digital literacy of grassroots female politicians, was held on 05 March in Kegalle.


A large number of female local councillors and civil society activists in Kegalle took part in the workshop held at the Amba Sewana Hotel, Ranwala.
Assistant Elections Commissioner, Sajith Kasthurisinghe was the Chief Guest of the event. Keynote speech was given by senior elections monitor Mr. Manjula Gajanayake. Founder of the Yeheliya Foundation, attorney-at-law, Ms. Naushalya Fernando also gave a lecture.
The participants were educated on the importance of digital literacy by CaFFE Executive Director, Mr. Ahmed Manas Makeen.
CaFFE Program Coordinator Indrani Lekamge had organized the workshop.
